Dental Implants. A Solution to Lost Teeth Surrey

Lost Teeth, Gaps and Dental Implants

Losing teeth as an adult is no fun. Many people struggle with difficulty chewing, a lack of confidence when smiling, an increased risk to further decay through food traps in the mouth etc.

The benefits to having a dental implant is much more than filling a gap so you can chew more easily or smile with a little more confidence. The ability to stabilise the area where the natural tooth once was is critical as your mouth is made up of lots of hard and soft tissue that shifts according to what is holding it in place.

If a tooth is lost, the bone and gums have nothing to support and therefore they will resorb or dissappear. This resorption leads to the remaining teeth drifting and often becoming lose themselves. Its kind of like a domino effect.

In time your once proud mouth can look very flat and your face will close up a bit like the gurning champions you sometimes see. In other words you look prematurely old.

A Stable and Healthy Mouth is a Happy Mouth

If you have lost teeth or wear dentures that no longer fit do consider that replacing them with dental implants is not just for vanity's sake. It is for the benefit of your whole mouth that implants are placed.
