When you were a baby you had baby, deciduous, teeth. As you grew up these teeth were replaced by permanent teeth which you took into adulthood and beyond. You may have had orthodontic treatments to move these teeth into line so you could smile,chew and talk better. But as time passes certain factors effect the appearance of your teeth and gums.

As we get older our gums recede,leaving the appearance of longer teeth. Hence the expression ‘long in the tooth’. Along with that your teeth wear down closing your mouth giving a more aged appearance. If you lose teeth prematurely, you will have gaps that conjure up images of being older.

What is the Difference Between NHS and Private Dentistry?

People are sometimes disappointed when they come to Cedar Dental only to discover that we are a private practice. To some this conjures up images of vast fees for the same treatments, this is not the case.

With Snow all around the practice, Winter has really arrived. Thanks to the wonders of 4wheel drive I have managed to get further than many of the trains in my area. Jenny has kept the practice warm and welcoming and this has increased the Xmas factor.

ts coming up to the festive season and the chance to have a few drinks and eat a little too much. The bacteria in your mouth love this time of year. They flourish on all the sweet stuff that you have lingering in your mouth.
